Football boot recycling

As a club we must go through a significant number of football boots. The children’s feet grow so quickly and we are left with boots that have lots of life still in them.

Many of you will be aware that Ruts Youth are in partnership with a local charity called Endeavour Youth Club (EYC). It would be nice if we could have your old ‘clean’ boots for reuse within Ruts Youth or siblings. We would then ask you to make whatever donation you see fit (via a collection tin) to EYC.

The boots can be handed in or purchased at training when we go back to the club or at home games.

Club Announcement – Charter Standard

Old Rutlishians’ Association Football Club is proud to announce their award of the Football Association’s nationally recognised Charter Standard status.

The Charter Standard Scheme is a best practice guide that sets standards of coaching, administration and child protection for all clubs outside the Football League and Premier League. As a benchmark for quality, it will improve the playing experience for all.

Parents looking for a club for their child would find comfort when choosing an FA Charter Standard Club that there will be a positive environment in which to play football.

Old Ruts AFC have a total of five junior sides from under 8 up to under 15, including a team for girls, in addition to their four Saturday Mens teams and a Sunday veterans side under the club umbrella.

Youth chairman Daniel Poulter said “This is a great achievement for our football club and another positive step forward. The Charter Status is recognition for the people that work very hard to ensure our club runs so efficiently. All of the people that have volunteered their time deserve a big thank you. Old Ruts AFC is fully committed to providing quality football for players that will ensure the future health of the club”.

Speaking on behalf of the Senior Section Football President Gavin Lennard declared ‘ this is a great achievement and sound progress and I’d like to thank Daniel Poulter in particular, for his efforts in securing the Charter Standard for our Club.
