It’s the big kick-off for the new 2021-22 season this weekend.
We have 3 brand new teams this season taking us up to 10 in total as well as a number of new players across the existing teams. We are now competing in 3 different leagues having entered teams in both the Epsom & Ewell League (on Saturdays) and the Surrey Country Womens & Girls League. This is on top of 8 teams competing in the Surrey Youth League from U9 to U15 age groups.
Good luck to all teams playing this weekend. Come on you Ruts!
Ruts Youth Girls will play competitive football in the Surrey county woman and girls football league SCWGL on Sunday mornings. We are currently looking for players for a new team. Any interested girls must be going into year 7 in September. We are holding trials Saturday 7 and 14 August at the club.
Ruts Youth play competitive football in the Surrey Youth League on Sunday mornings. We are currently looking for players for a new team. Any interested boys must be current year 5’s, going into year 6 in September. We are holding trials Saturday 24 and 31 July.
It’s been a long time away but finally football returns as the new SYL 2020-21 season starts this Sunday, 13th September.
Obviously its quite a different situation to normal as we start in these strange times. With this in mind all parents of current players have been sent an email detailing the measures the club have taken to support the safety of all coaches, players and parents. Please inform your manager if you have not received this (though check email junk first). Also be sure to read our COVID-19 guidance at https://rutsyouthfc.com/covid19/
Just as importantly though, let’s remember to make it a fun experience too. Football is back!
Following an announcement from the Football Association the Executive committee of the Surrey Youth League have taken the difficult decision to postpone all league games and league events, cup finals etc.
